Just Human

She fought with God.
With all of them.
She won the first two rounds,
But the third time
Didn’t turn out to be a charm.
She lost him.
She was a widow again.
With three children
Under her care this time
Instead of one.
She was arguing with them
As I watched,
And I pitied her,
For she had already lost.
They had all showed her
That she was just human
After all.
