There are some things
You cannot see,
That you will never see
With your eyes open.

Clouds burst with yellow
If you look from the right angle.

The sky isn’t blue
All the time,
Though that’s all we’re
Taught in school.

Reading rainbows
Was a good memory,
Except the rainbow
Hardly ever shows
All its colours.

And little girls
Wearing dresses with frills
Don’t always want to play
With dolls.

If only eyes could see,
Then only ears would hear,
And it’s a good thing
That’s not the case
For then we’d all be naked,
Clad in metal and binary
With no music
Or scented flowers.
